Speaking on the Islam Medical College project, the Chairman said that this is a tremendously exciting time to inaugurate Islam Medical College, thanks to Almighty ALLAH for providing us the opportunity to establish the 1st Private Medical College of Sialkot. He added that medical education was a prime necessity for extension of health care to all segments of society in Sialkot. He lauded the efforts of Chaudhry Maqsood Ahmed, Executive Director IMC, Dr. Tanveer Islam Rana, Senior Director and Rana Yasir Islam, Managing Director IMC for establishing the first private Medical College of Sialkot in a record time. He expressed the hope that the Islam Medical College, Sialkot would help change the complexion of medicare for the District of Sialkot and will prove a centre of excellence for pursing medical knowledge and research in the country.

The Chairman, IMC said that the institutions are made by a team of committed faculty members, conducive environments and the students yearning desire to learn. He said that the College’s greatest asset is our dedicated faculty which will continuously evaluates and improves our curriculum. He urged the students to adopt this profession not as a primary source of earning livelihood but for the service of humanity at large. He advised the college faculty to put in their best to bring the name of this newly established college at par with any premier medical institution in the country.

While addressing the Students and Faculty of Islam Medical College (IMC) the Chairman said that they should meet the challenges of setting healthy modern research trends in the profession of medicine. They have been bestowed a responsibility to serve human beings to facilitate them with a good health. He assured that the management of IMC will provide all possible facilities for creating a medical practitioner at par with the international standards of medical education and healthcare system.
While ending his address in the inaugural session of IMC the Chairman said that Medical education is a marvelous never-ending adventure and we hope that you will share it with us.  I thank Almighty ALLAH for bringing me such an opportunity in my life.

Addressing the inaugural session of Islam Medical College the Dean IMC, Prof. Dr. Khalil-Ur-Rehamn said that it is my proud privilege to welcome the first ever batch of M.B.B.S students at the Islam Medical College, Sialkot. He said that with the vision of the board of directors, the novel approach of our faculty and your zeal and enthusiasm, I see Islam Medical College embarking on an enlightened path of educating physicians for the 21st century.

While addressing to the M.B.B.S students of 1st batch he said that you as the pioneer batch, have to shoulder the extraordinary responsibilities of setting the benchmark of academic, professional and humanitarian excellence together with noble traditions, thereby making yourself a role model for future students of this college. He said that the Islam Medical College wants its graduates to be holistic and dynamic individuals, therefore, the college will encourage your widely diverse innate talents to flourish in sports and literary spheres.

He informed that the Islam Medical College would on one hand prove a center of excellence with state of the art training and research facility for medical sciences, while on the other hand, it would ensure availability of top class specialists. He informed that top quality professionals have been selected for the faculty and response of the applicants has been enormous.

He said that at IMC, we have developed a new philosophy of medical treatment by integrating the medical sciences with human sociological and psychological perspective. It will help to develop a practical approach of serving human beings. Being a socio-medicine professor, he linked the profession of medicine with the social sciences. He explained different paradigms in which a human being can better be served by a doctor. The Dean, IMC highlighted the dimensions of physiological, pharmacological and hygienical aspects effecting humanity. At last, students took oath from the Dean, IMC for rendering dedicated services for the promotion of health services to humanity.

Addressing the pioneer batch he said that your overall progress will be monitored in collaboration with your parents or guardians. All efforts required to improve student’s performance will be undertaken. Finally, the Dean IMC said that I welcome you in choosing this institution and pray for your success here and in your future life.
